This is Why I Plant Flowers

I plant flowers because I think they're beautiful and I enjoy tending to them. I love the color they add to the yard.

But I also plant flowers so that I can cut them and take them inside.

A little bouquet in the bathroom...

Another one in the kitchen. Nothing fancy. But they smell glorious and make me happy.

How beautiful. I can't bring flowers in the house because Copper thinks they are snacks for him.

You flowers are amazing! Obviously you do not have a rabbit problem! Love the hydrangeas - my favorite flower!! I have a helpful hint for bringing them indoors. After cutting a bloom, put the entire bloom into room temp. water for about 20 minutes then display as wanted... Hydrangeas drink through their blooms. I tried this and it really works!

Thank you, guys! I love being able to make bouquets. Unfortunately, Spouse doesn't care for the smell, but that doesn't stop me!

Katie, sweetie, thanks for the tip! I shall keep this in mind. But those are phlox, not hydrangeas! lol ;-P

They look lovely! As much as I love bringing them inside, I hate cutting off the blooms.

VERY pretty! That's one thing I tend to forget, and just leave the flowers outdoors...

So pretty!!!! I've been raiding my guy's flowers from outside, but since we just barely moved in last October, there aren't that many yet. I guess there will be a lot to choose from in another couple years, or that's what he tell me.
