Feline Friday: Bringing the outdoors in

Ever since winter started, the kitties sit by the back door and meow almost every day. I really don't know why they're doing this: It's not like I'm going to just open the door and let them outside to play! They only go outside in nice weather and even then, only on a leash.

To help them remember that it is COLD outside, I occasionally carry them out and set them down in the snow, which they do not like even one little bit! They pull their little feet up and cling to me while I carry them back inside. :-)

Yesterday I decided to bring in some snow for them to inspect. Lily thought it was pretty interesting to touch, and she soon discovered that she could eat it, too.

Tinsel, on the other hand, was less than impressed. She turned her nose up at the snow and went back to snuggle in her warm blanket.

My thoughts exactly.

I love you blog! Your kitties are adorable. My two do the same thing!

Just love it. That Lily is so adventureous. Tinsel has the right idea when it comes to the snow. I feel the same way.

Both sound good! :D My two were curious about our snow last week (such a rare occurrence here) so I opened the back door and let them stick their noses out. All it took was one flake to hit their nose and they were flying back into the house. LOL

Left you a little something this morning on my blog here. :)

I never thought about bringing some snow in for them to inspect. I will have to try it this weekend. My boys don't ever go outside, so I'm sure they will be mystified at to what this cold white stuff is. Thanks for sharing the adventures of Lily and Tinsel. I look forward to their antics daily!

Ha! Dakotah tries to join the dog when I let her outside; but luckily she stops right before the snow!

How funny! ***Almost*** makes me wish I lived somewhere where I could try that on Sugar and Nimue. Almost. But then again, having the windows wide open on the first day of February is kind'a nice...

No fair, Jill is bragging! (see comment above). Lily is pretty smart to figure out it tasted good:) She's pretty adventurous!
