A new season

Our daughter is involved in so many activities that our entertainment calendar is solidly booked! Last night was the official kick-off of the competitive show choir season. Our school district has four show choirs (8th grade through varsity) and this is Daughter's first year in the top group.

The group is gearing up for a weekend competition in Wisconsin. They looked and sounded super last night. We're looking forward to a great competitive season

Okay, I must not know what show choir is about. Because that does not look like any choir I've ever seen! You need to post video of this! Good luck to all of them! Have a good trip to WI!

Thanks, guys! The girls have 2 dresses...the other one is red and black. Show choir is a lot of fun to watch.

Heather, I will try to post a video this season. The one I took of this performance was very poor quality. Show choirs sing and dance at the same time. Usually groups do 4-5 songs in a show in a variety of styles -- could be pop, rock, Broadway -- including a ballad. They are judged based on their singing and how well they execute the choreography. Last year they traveled to Waseca, MN for a big competition...I think that might be close to you. Some Minneapolis area schools are REALLY into show choir!
