Got Puzzle? Got Mod Podge?

Then you can turn your puzzle into a piece of art! Daughter finished this 1,000 piece Disney Photomosaic puzzle a couple of weeks ago and decided that she wanted to frame it for her room. (This puzzle was particularly difficult: Each piece depicts an actual scene from a Disney movie.)

We had never glued a puzzle together and had no idea what type of adhesive to use, so we asked the framing guy at Hobby Lobby.

His answer? Mod Podge. I have plenty of that, and sure enough, on the back of the bottle are instructions for gluing your puzzle together. It's a simple task: Paint the front and back of the completed puzzle, let it dry, then Mod Podge it to a backing that will fit in your frame. Some puzzles are thicker than others, so be sure to choose a frame that is deep enough to accommodate your completed puzzle.

If you're putting together a puzzle this summer, you might think about framing it for a child's room or crafting space. It's a simple project with great results.

That puzzle is so cool & I bet it was hard to put together. Great idea on using Mod Podge to glue it!

That is a really cool puzzle! I'm amazed at your DD determination. I couldn't do a 1000 piece puzzle!

That is a neat puzzle. I bet it looks even cooler IRL with all those little movie scenes!

I got Nattie a 1000 piece puzzle for Christmas and the two of us are working on it this summer. It has lots of glitter on it and we're planning on framing it when it's done - it'll be too nice to put back in a box! We'll be using the Mod Podge - thanks for the tip :)

Great idea! I should do that to a puzzle I did years ago, but the edge pieces are falling away...I think it would still look cool with the unfinished edge like that, so I may just pick me up some Mod Podge!
