Bathroom Remodel: Don't Give Up on Us!

If you've been following our bathroom remodel project, you're probably wondering:

I'm kind of wondering that, too! :) The process has taken longer than anticipated, but we weren't in any sort of a hurry when we started. We now need to wait for another roll of wallpaper to arrive before we can finish this final step in the process. Although I'm anxious to be done with the bathroom, waiting a bit longer really isn't a big deal!

Meanwhile, here's a better picture of the shades we ordered from Home Depot. We'll definitely be ordering them for our bedroom, too. Spouse even has the wild idea that he'd like to put them in our kitchen. We have very few window coverings on our first floor (I love natural light) so that seems kind of radical to me, but we'll see!

Last week, I bought an inexpensive light fixture for the small room where the toilet is and Spouse installed it over the weekend. I'm glad to have that done!

Here's a better picture of the shower. It's about one foot wider than our old shower, although the glass doors make it feel much larger than that. We probably didn't need to make it this big but since we took out the tub, we had room to expand it. Should we ever decide to sell the house, I think a larger shower will appeal to buyers.
So, long story short, it's going to be a bit before we can finish up this project. Meanwhile, I'm working on organizing the closet and the new vanity cabinet, so I'll share photos as I complete those tasks. I'm anxious to share final pictures of the entire space when we wrap this up!

I like that light fixture. I am always looking for cheap ways to light up a room. However, I don't want it to look cheap. I want it to look elegant. I like your choice and that should be easy to use in any other room. By the way, your grey tabby looks like the renovation was all their idea.

We recently did a bathroom remodel and the one thing that completely changed the room was updating the tiles in the shower. There are so many cool choices at the tile store that you need to decorate the room first and then pick out tiles that accent the room and create a focal point that really draw in the eyes.
