Feline Friday: Ladybug Patrol

We had some work done on the windows in our house this past week. While they were being repaired, several were completely OUT at the same time. Fortunately, it was lovely weather but lots of things blew in...such as dust, leaves, and approximately 1,000 slow-moving ladybugs looking for a place to spend the winter.

The ladybugs are mostly hanging out on our ceiling, which makes them somewhat difficult to capture. They are, however, providing endless hours of entertainment for Lily, who remains convinced that if she reaches high enough, she'll be able to catch one.

One evening this week, I caught Lily on Ladybug Patrol on a table in my scrapbooking area, occasionally sitting up on her haunches like a bunny. She looked like a bobblehead as she followed the ladybug's every move.

No worries, Mrs. Ladybug. I think you're safe!

Maybe if you sing that song about "Ladybug, Ladybug, fly away home" they will know that it is time to leave!

Isn't it a hoot when a moth or something gets in the house? I love how their teeth "chatter"...lol.

Heather-Thank you! I wish I could have caught a pic of Lily standing way up on her back legs. That was pretty cute!

Daisy-I may have to try that! If not the words, I'm sure my singing would scare them away! :-D

Purple Princess-Thx for stopping by!

Kristina-I love that sound! They do it with birds all the time!

Lynn-She's a sweetie, that's for sure! :-D

KarenSue-Thx for stopping in!

GK-Thank you! She's a character, that's for sure!

She looks like my beagle sitting up to beg:)

Yikes to all those ladybugs! Too bad she can't actually reach them to help you out...

Linda-Thanks! Lily provides endless entertainment around here! :-D

Maureen-She actually DOES jump at the wall, scraping her sharp little claws all the way down. Drives me insane!! And always gets my attention, which is of course what she wants! lol

Cheri-Yes, they are awful! I'm told they're not really ladybugs but Japanese beetles? I have no idea...they are just everywhere! lol I have LOST CONTROL!!! (Like I ever had it...) :-D
