We've had some beautiful weather here this week and since Lily expressed some interest, we went outside for a walk.
Lily tolerates her harness well (still haven't replaced it!) and walks nicely on a leash. But she doesn't like the feel of grass on her feet! It has taken quite a few attempts to get her to stand in grass for any length of time. She much prefers the patio, driveway, and sidewalk!
It reminds me of the days when I road the bus as a child in elementary school. If the country roads were muddy, they'd announce "busses on hard surfaces only". In this case, it's "kitty on hard surfaces only"!
But on this occasion, I plopped her down in the grass and to my surprise, she walked around just a little bit.
She was leery of the tree roots! They do look a bit creepy.
Lily has no idea that a tree could be climbed. When I put her feet on the bark, she has no interest in it whatsoever.
She's definitely a city (suburban!) kitty!
It wasn't long before she was ready to go back inside.
This outdoor adventure really tired her out! The fresh air made her sleepy and soon she was curled up under Meowmy's sweatshirt, where she no doubt dreamed of patios and sidewalks. 😃
Happy Feline Friday!
