Feline Friday

It's Friday! Feline Friday, that is!
So it's time to take a closer look at what Lily has been doing of late.

We just got a new fridge. Everyone, including Lily, is still getting used to it. She certainly knows that the food still comes out of this new contraption but it looks quite different than the old one. Because the freezer is on the bottom instead of the top, she can no longer see directly into it. To get a good view of the tasty morsels stored within it, she has to sit back just a bit.

This week, Lily was also caught in her famous "twisted" position where her back feet are going one direction and her front feet are going another. This typically happens when she is sitting normally but has a sudden itch on her back or tail. She keeps her "base" planted but swivels her upper body around to do the licking or nibbling. Although it's a regular pose for her, I always find it hilarious!

Outdoors, it's getting rather nippy at night. That means the blankies are back in use! Lily doesn't mind being swaddled with baby blankets once the weather starts getting cool. She often forgets she's swaddled when it's time for a snack so the blankie just rides along with her. Or maybe she's intentionally keeping her blankie around her for warmth. I took a cue from Lily when I walked outside to get the newspaper this morning with my blankie around me! It kept me nice and toasty.

Lily, you may be on to something! Maybe my new motto should be BLL...
Be Like Lily! 😻
