Lily loves Refill Day! It's the day when Meowmy puts more TASTY NOMS in the automatic feeder.
There's always a brief moment when the lid is off, and that's when Lily -- ever the opportunist when it comes to food -- dives in!

Is it Friday? It's been a really busy week for Lily's Meowmy. Believe it or not, I'm already starting on Christmas projects for the store!
As for Lily, she's had a calm week! Life is back to normal for her. She has her dining room sunny spots back, so she's quite happy!
One of these days, I'll finish cleaning the dining room and putting everything back in its proper place.
Awhile back, I decided to take an online doodling class with Wendy Vecchi. Although I doodled a lot as a kid, I have been "doodle-free" for many years now. But when I saw Wendy's doodling style, I knew it was something I wanted to try!
In class, we learned how to doodle and color flowers, leaves, and a few other simple shapes. I found it super relaxing!
One of these days, I'll share pictures of all the doodled flowers and leaves I have made. Trust me, I have quite a supply!
So now that I have a stash of doodled flowers and leaves, I decided to try a few on cards. They are completely different than any other card-making supplies I typically use! I enjoyed including these handmade flowers on the fronts of my cards.
It's time to get back to doodling more flowers for fall!
Because of the stairs being covered, I had move her main litterbox from the landing up to the guest bedroom. At night, I have been keeping her in that room so that she has easy access to the potty and I don't have to worry about her going up and down the stairs -- or having an accident because her litterbox is not where it should be!
In the evenings after the crew leaves, she enjoys hanging out in the family room -- close to the snacks, of course.
It's no hardship for her to be confined to the guest room. She has everything she needs, including room service!
I recently had a bout of low crafting mojo. It happens from time to time...nothing to worry about! Two things always help with that:
1) Organizing my craft room
2) Making cards to give away
In the past year or so, I've made and donated a lot of cards to the Cards for Kindness program. If you enjoy making cards and have more cards than people to send them to, you may enjoy sending your extras to this wonderful program. Donated cards go to a variety of organizations and are put to good use. Do check the website before you make or send cards as the themes needed vary from time to time. All cards should be blank inside and must include an envelope.
And the next thing you know, I'd found my missing mojo and could get back to crafting! That's a win-win in my book!
We are having our dining room, adjacent hallway, and half bath painted to match our kitchen. This week, they are doing prep to get ready for painting. Lily, being a creature of habit, insisted on taking her morning nap in the same spot, even though everything was out of place!
After Day 1, she still found the one remaining island of carpet. Poor thing looked so disoriented!
She walks ever so cautiously on the kraft paper and will barely step on the plastic. It feels so WEEEERD, Meowmy!
So Lily is spending her days shut in the upstairs guest room, away from the noise and disruption. Things are so out of kilter on the main floor that I positioned her in her Safe Space during the evening and overnight so she'd have easier access to her litter and water.
When I went in to check on her, she seemed to need a little reassurance. Is everything going to be OK, Meowmy? She repeatedly reached out to my hand with her little paw. It was the most precious gesture!
Yes, Lily, it's only paint! Soon -- well, maybe in a week -- everything will be back to normal...just another color!
Change is hard for everyone, kitties included!
