Lily and Tinsel live in a somewhat "crafty" household. This works to their benefit, because we have lots of leftover supplies which make fun toys.
Of all the leftovers, they like puff balls best of all. Around here, it's practically a puff ball bonanza! We have puff balls in a variety of sizes and colors. On any given day you can find them being pushed...

Sometimes at night, Tinsel takes a puff ball to the foot of the stairs and "calls" upstairs to Lily with her rare, but very distinctive motherly meow. On those special occasions, a puff ball can even be a peace offering.
Our cats love those puff balls too! I get them the sparkly ones with tinsel sticking out all over. I think they're currently all up under various pieces of furniture. I need to dig those out...
ReplyDeleteIn our house, after everyone has gone to bed, our Kirby has a collection of small stuffed animals toys that he grabs in his mouth, takes to the downstairs hallway and with the stuffed toy in his mouth, he cries, then drops the toy, goes and get another, cries, drops the toy and on and on. Every morning there is at least 3 to 5 stuffed toys lying there to put back in his basket. It's the strangest routine.....
ReplyDeleteHeather - Sparkly ones would be fun! Ours disappear regularly too under the furniture and fridge! lol
ReplyDeleteKristina - That's funny! It's a very distinctive meow, isn't it? I've read that it's similar to how a cat "in the wild" would bring food back to the kittens. But I think that's more typical of a female than a male! Great story...TFS! :-)
Cute. Our house is overrun with super balls. You know the ones that bounce really high. We must have 20 of them. Our cats go nuts chasing them around the house then the balls go under some furniture and don't come out until cleaning day. Then it all starts again.
