Feline Friday: Looking Back

I was only a small child when the
seeds of cat enchantment were sown within me.
May Eustace

This is a picture of me, two years old, outside of our house. In many pictures from my childhood, I'm carrying a cat, pushing a baby kitten in a buggy, or holding a kitty wearing a doll dress. Cats have always been a huge part of my life, and my days have been richly blessed by the many cats I have loved.

  1. First I have to say I can believe the great finds you got a Big Lots! That is awesome. I can never find anything in that store.

Love the photo! It is calling for a layout of some sort!

  3. Hey, Lynn and Cheri-Thanks for your nice comment! I actually have made a layout with this picture. It's one of my favorites because it's so typical. :-) I haven't changed much...I'm usually carrying a cat around! LOL!

Lynn, you never know about BL. Most of the time I never find anything but occasionally I'll find something really good!

  4. Oh Janet, that is the cutest photo! What a great thing to have grown up with cats all your life. Sadly, I couldn't have a cat when I was young; my Dad has polio so we couldn't risk a little furball underfoot possible tripping him.

Once I was married, I changed all that. Now I have more than made up for that missed time!

  7. Maureen-Thx for your comment! Sorry to hear about your dad's condition. I'm glad you have cats in your life now. I was "catless" during college and our early married years -- it was awful!

Ryz and Toni -- Thank you! I love old pics and am lucky to have a few, mostly with cats! :-) I actually have made a LO with this picture. I should actually post that! LOL
