I'm forever misplacing our cordless phone. But this morning, the phone was more lost than usual.
I accidentally washed it. Tossed it right in with the jammies and socks.
No wonder I couldn't hear it ringing when I called our home number. It's hard to hear a phone ringing under water.
The funny thing is that my mom once washed her cordless phone and remarkably, it still worked!
I'm hoping that after a little time in the sun, the phone will dry out and work again. But given the fact that I can sort of hear water sloshing in it, I'm not holding out much hope.
Ah, here's to a little good, clean fun to start out the new year! :-)

I'm not gonna name any names, but I know a gal who washed a TV remote once - and it continued to work :)
ReplyDeleteLOL Better than lipstick in your laundry. And now that phone is good and germ free - a very good thing during cold & flu season. You were merely trying to keep your family safe. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny! Definitely something I would do, too :)
ReplyDeleteUh oh, that sounds like a bad mistake! Is there some kind of trick to fixing it, like putting it in some rice or something? I don't know why I think I heard that somewhere. Or maybe I just have rice on the brain today.
ReplyDeleteHuh, well, I'll be darned:)
ReplyDeleteBetter than a ball-point pen in the dryer, too (see Sarah's post above). Unfortunately I've been there and done that.
With little boys, I'm just waiting to see what gets washed here throughout the years. So far everything has been innocuous: a Kleenex (not too messy), Legos (great way to clean 'em!), rocks, and coins come to mind...
Oh Janet..that was a darn good laugh for the night. You just crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteOoops! that sounds like something I might do!
ReplyDeleteWell Sugar knocked our phone into the toilet once & it eventually dried out and worked again, even the screen. Hope it comes back to life soon!
